The Sew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report; At our Upper Hutt sale on Thursday we had a full yarding of stock. All lines of sheep were well competed for and sold readily forward dairy cows were in demand and were easily disposed of. Late calvers were somewhat neglected. A nice line of dairy cows, offered on behalf of H. Horrobin, Levin, made an average of i>9, the top price being £l"j 15s. We quote:--
Sheep.- Store nuns, (is 8d; wether lambs to 9s; backward owes in laifib to 10s fid. Cattle. Calves, 15s (Id; wonner fcvvifr-rs, 'JOs: Holstem yearling 'o £'2 9s fid; yearling I' 2 12- Ccl; store cows to r 'forward cows, £4 £4 5s to £4 15s; I^is to £5; backward hei--ss; dairy cows, £7 15s, £8, £9, £9 2s fid, £9 5s to £13 15s.
