On Wednesday, the 22nd April, at St. Andrew's Church, Levin, (he marriage was celebrated of Miss Margaret McGillicuddy and Mr C. T. Lumber, both of Wellington. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Henry. The bride, who was given away by her uncle (Mr J. McLeavey) looked charming in a pretty frock of white eolinne, trimmed with beautiful lace, and carried a lovely bouquet of white roses, asparagus and maiden-hair fern, and wore the orthodox wreath and veil. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Eva McLeavey, who was attired in a frock of pale blue silk meteor, and black velvet hat with Targe pink rose, and carried bouquet of pink roses and maiden-hair fern. The bridegroom was supported by Mr Culloty, of Palmerston North. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle, set with diamonds and rubies. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a handsome gold watch and chain. After the ceremony the party, consisting of near relatives, adjourned to the residence of Mr and Mrs Tames McLeavey, TVhau, where they were entertained at breakfast and the usual toasts honoured. Later in the day the happy couple left for the Hot Lakes district, where the honeymoon is to be spent. There were many useful and oeautiful presents.
