Tlie uemand ior seed lines is getting less, and at present only nnishing oii orders are coining to hand. For cocksfoot the market remains firm at late rales. Chaff sales are not very brisk, but holders are very lirin, and any business passing is at equal to late rates. Jb or goodconditioned young birds there is an excellent demand, but other sorts meet poor enquiry. Consignments of honey are wanted, and a good demand is in sight.. Walnuts are in keen enquiry, and early arrivals will meet good market. The enquiry ior dessert and cooking apples is slightly better since last report, and supplies are about equal to the demand. Quinces are bought up freely at late rates. Fairly large quantities of winter cole and other dessert pears are coming to hand, and are realising lower rates. Tomatoes have taken a sharp rise, and prospects indicate higher ruling val. ues .Lettuce and beans are selling at bedrock prices. All other root vegetables realise higher values.
