xV meeting of the Board of Directors oi: the local branch oi' the Y.M.C'.A. was hold in the Association's rooms, Queen street, Levin, on .Friday Ihe I.7th instant. The president (Mr -1. "\V. Gibson) occupied the chair.
The proposed activities for the veal were reviewed, and it was decided to form a department for the intermediate, members, the department to be under the direction of the Hcv. A. H. I'anderson and Mr T. fi. Vincent. The, work in other directions will »e carried on also, and a shout- , committee will he! set up to carry" out arrangements for a "strangers' tea" on Sunday evenings. The gvmnnsium will be opened shortly, and it, is hoped to secure the services of a eapable instructor at present residing in Jjevin. The meeting was adjourned until Thursday next.
