Manakau Notes

(By our Resident Representative)

Some of tlie dairy farmers who usually send milk to Wellington at this time of the year are having some trouble to place their supply at present. No doubt the milk supply further down the line is keeping up better than usual: or people are drinking less milk. The Tennis Club has erected a pavilion at the courts. The dancing classes at the Anglican Sunday School room, which were stopped during ' 'Lent," will soon be in "full swing'' again, and the heavy hammer-hammer of the feet of Big Bill will awaken the: heavy sleepers on the railway line. Mr Cotter and the Misses Cotter are at present on a trip to The Hutt and Masterton. - Mr L. Williams, of the' oheesc factory staff, is leaving shortly for England.
