Fire Brigade Dance
Thy Levin Volunteer Fire Brigade gave a dance in the Druids' Hall last evening, to raise -funds for the purpose of sending a "team to take part in the Hastings competitions, to be held during the Easter holidays. J,% weather proved anything Py< favourable, yet the attendant ./a very good and the dancing%Li> (horoughly enjoyed. In the of the evening Councillor 501 S. Lancaster presented the iv-.>piii'"s and medals (won at the iv<v"t local contests) to the winner?, oi' the different events. At tlie call of Mr McTaggert cheers were given for Councillor Lancaster, the winners of the trophies, and for Lieutenant Johnson, who presented the medals. Excellent inueic was provided by the L.W.P. musical company (Mr G. Lester cornet, Miss K. Williamson violin, and Miss Ivy Pink piano) and greatly added to the success of the entertainment. Extra music was supplid by Messrs Rose (accordeon), Mason and Nation (piano). The musicians gave their services free «■? -V---- TTuririg the eveniim - M;■ i-. s - ■ '--a c;vv'ok a .seng.
