Bedniond, in the House of Commons, said that Sir Edward Carson made no step towards a compromise. The talk of federalism was misleading and mischievous. He sympathised with federalism, but as a solution of the IHster difficulty it would be necessary to bo more precise. The House owed a duty to Ireland to pass the Bill. He was undeterred by threats of resistance.
Sir Edward Carson said that after the Government's attempt at a military and naval revolution, he was sceptical at its conciliation professions. The only solution ws to exclude Ulster until her consent was won. ■
Sir John Simon said that the exclusion offer would remain open to the latest possible date. Exclusion would prevent a leap in the dark. The essence of the Government's view was that. Home Bule meant Trish unity.

remanded. A SHRIEKING STEFRAGETTE. An exciting scene took place at the Marlborough street police court, when Mrs Drummond was brought up. By continuous shrieking she successfully interrupted the proceedings. She said she would not be tried by the court, which was doing the Right Hon. Tl. H. Asquith's dirty work, and where were Sir Edward Carson and others. Mrs Drummond was removed, struggling-violently, and brought back to court several times, but refused to stop shouting.
