WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Wellington wool skin and hide sal©, held on 3rd inst., as follows: —We offered a good selection of all produce to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was very keen for all lots. Wool and skins sold on a par with last sale's prices, whilst the hide market was exceptionally brisk at a considerable advance on last quotations, more especially for cows, our highest price for these being 9 5-8 d per lb. We quote: Wool. —Fine crossbred, 9|d to lOJd; pieces and bellies 6d to 64d; locks and pieces, 4JUI to s£d; : crutchings, 6Ad to 7£d: lambs, 9£d to lOd. ' Skins.- -Half-bred, 9d to 9£d; fine crossbred, Bfd to 9d ; medium, to coarse crossbred. B|d to 9d; short to half-wools, i£d to Bd. dead and damaged crossbred, to Tfd; inferior, 4£d to sd; lambs, Tfd to Bsd: damp and salted, 3s Gd to 5s lid; pelts, 4|d to 6fd. Hides.—Heavy ox v 9jUl to 9^d; medium, 9Jd to 9£d; light, 9jU; to 9§d; heavy cow, 8-£ dfo 9Jd : medium, Bfd to 9id; light, B?,d to to 9id; cut and slippy. 7d to 9d: bulls and stags, 5f(T to 7d: yearlings, 9d to 10|d: super calf, 12d to 13Jd; good calf. 9'd to 12d: damaged, 7Jd to 9id.
