The fire had obtained a good hold, but the tire brigade quenched it. though not before the building was gutted. It i not known how the placc caught fire. The Rev. F. T. Harris leaves Levin next A\ ednesday for Christchurch, where he will be stationed at New Brighton. His departure is regretted by a wide circle of friends who hav<> learned to appreciate him during his nine months' occupancy of the Levin parsonage. He will preach his farewell sermons to-morrow (morning and evening) in the Century Hall, Levin.
