Potatoes. -The market has boon .steady for prime lines, but inferior quality, of whicli there is a lot offering, an; very hard to sell. Onions ar coming- to hand from the South, bul there is only a moderate demand. Eggs—Supplies are short, and prices are very firm. Dressed pork is in good demand at late rates. Wheat and oats— There is no change to report, but southern markets are very firm. Western Wolths ryegrass and other seed lines are still selling freely. The cocksfoot market still shows an upward tendency, and holders are anticipating higher values. Slag and super, orders continue to # come forward. Several large parcels of oat sheaf chaff and wheaten straw have been offering, but business ha steei} somewhat restricted. Local'grapes meet with keen competition, and are in short supply. Blackberries are about finished. Peaches ore sol 1 : ■ 10' of slightly lower rates since o;:r last report. Quinces meet with fair demand, also choice cooking aiid dessert Dessert pears are eagerly bought up at ruling prices. l Tomatoes are meeting with fair enquiry, but prices are in buyers' favour. Lettuces and French beans are realising bedrock rates. All root vegetables meet with fair sale. Cabbages are higher, but cauliflowers are easier. VEGETABLES.
