Potatoes -The market has been well supplied with inferior quality, and sales for these lines are exceedingly slow. Tubers of prime (jualiiy are in good demand, and are eagerly bought up at satisfactory rates. Onions —There is no change 011 the local market, but the southern reports indicate lower values. Eggs—The supply does not meet the demand, and the tendency is towards higher rates. The market for dressed pork remains very firm. The wheat market is unaltered, and there is not a great deal of business passing. Oats are in much the same position, and holders in the south are not inclined to accept lower prices. Seed algerians are, if anything, a little fiis mer. Local grapes are in short supply, and higher prices are ruling for good quality. Blackberries, quinces and peaches meet- with a fair demand. -Consignments of choice cooking and dessert apples are recommended. Tomatoes are selling well, and best lines are eagerly bought xip. The market is good for choice coolcing and dessert pears.
