Presbyterian Functions.

The Levin Presbyterian Church held two interesting social gatherings on Wednesday afternoon and evening in the Druids' Hall. Both functions were very largely attended and proved highly successful. In the afternoon,'at the invitation of the Ladies' Guild, a large gathering of ladies assem'bled at an "At Home," bringing various handsome and. useful giftsto be sold at the coming "Snowflake Fair." Afternoon tea was daintily served to the guests, after which competitions were held, the winners being Misses Maxwell Brown and Duff. An enjoyable feature was a recital by Mrs Keedwell, and songs were pleasingly sung by Misses Pringle and Remington, and Mesdames Pyke and Banderson. A piano selection by Mrs Pyke completed the items. A Young People's Committee bad charge of the evening fui> tion and the hall was well filled with friends, a fine assortment o" gifts for the Fair again res - .- 1 !:-'-
