For Railway Passengers Guidance.
THE'LOCAL TIME TABLE. Sarching through a railway timetable makes most people irritable. The railway table, like the polony, contains many good things, but the public prefer to have the one particular food (whether mental or alimentary) desired on a given occasion, not a Imich potch of figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at Waggonville, or the cross line to jSeveriharcli. The particular figures likely to be oi benefit te dwellers between Paekakariki and l'alnierston North are what leaders of The Horowhenua Chronicle need most, and for our • readers' convenience those fie"r«g are now appended : —
Some of the above trains will stop at intermediate stations, such as Tokomaru, Ohau, Manakau, r J> lloro, etc.; but there '.re Fome which do not. Residents should acquaint tkemeelves with the trains which do stop at their particular stations).
As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations, at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up Local residents may.ascertain which are- the trains which cater for tiieix 1 towns, and may then work out, from the above iigures, the time which the traio will take to travel from the station immediately preceding.
