First prizes (3) for apples and pears were gained at Foxton Horticultural show by Mr F. O. Smith, of Levin.
On Saturday evening the Levin Brass Band played several selections ill Oxford-street. The build is steadily improving aud the music was appreciated T>y the people. The sports gathering originally projected for the. f7ih of this month will probably he held at Easter, Iho time remaining before the former date not being sufficient in which to make complete arrangements. It is something like two years since Levin has had a sports meeting, and it is expected that all spoHs bodies will lend what assistance; they can to make the coining gathering a siiceesfl.
