Tuohy second; time 5-J o-osec (.I. Jones, third; time bo 4-osee. Also competed - liensman, Uroadbelt, Ingram, T. Tuohy, D. (.'hidley. Silver Cup Handicap. One man manual engine handicap. The prize was a silver cup; Id be won three times in succession before becoming the property of any individual. Seven started in this event, which resulted in a tie between Firemen liensman and Broadbelt. Their running lime was 47 l-ssecs, less a handicap allowance of osecs. In the run off. from scratch Fireman Broadbelt won in 42 .'I-Osecs. Fireman Hensman's time was I-! ; !-ssecs.

An ex-captain acted as judge, )lr .1. Munro as timekeeper, amf Captain McTaggart as starter.
