Bowling on the Farm .
The teachers and staff of the Boys' Training Farm at Werarua have been perfecting during the last two years a bowling green that they have laid down near the main buildings of the Farm.,On Saturday, a rink from Levin BowJTng Club went out to the farm to try the green and contest a game against a link of farm representatives. They were motored out by Mr Spencer (of the farm" staff), and at the farm they were hospitably entertained. The green proved to be as fast as a good racehorse and its drawing qualities were great. Those responsible for its condition are deserving of hearty compliments upon their work. The game was wou by the vistors, but the farm representatives put up a creditable tussle and displayed a knowiedgoVof the science of the game. Marryatt, who skipped for tlie farm, got in some really clever shots on occasions. The Levin players hope id have a return visit from-the farm players at an early date.
