On my leaving i .. allow me to, through 1 lie medium of your valuable paper, express my thanks and deep gratitude to all those who morally and practically lielped me on my mission -in this town and district. I shall be indebted for life lo the deputy-mayor of this town, the lown Clerk, the clergy of this town and Shannon: you, Mr Editor, and all those ladies and gentlemen who so promptly answered my appeal. I also wish to state that the Deputy-Mayor of this town and Uev. Yicar Palmer, of Shannon, most kindly consented to accept any donation towards the noble cause: and those who can contribute something, notwithstanding how little it may be, can rest assured that by so doing they are dressing the wounds of the maimed, consoling the widou , drying the orphan's eyes, feeding the starving and sheltering the. homeless. -lam. etc., •TOIIX ZAVITCHAXOS.
