Levin Stock Sales
Messrs Abraham aud Williams, Ltd., held their weekly stock sale at their Queen street yards yesterday. There was a fair attendance, and the sale was a good one. Sheep were iu good no lower than 2100 being penned, and all were sold at late rates. But for the weekly sale there would be congestion on-ordinary sale days. Mr E. Laws, of Shannon, entered a line of Koinney rums that sold up to 3£ guineas. The number of cattle yarded was smaller than usual, • but .good prices were obtained. Three-year-old steers brought i'o 17s Gd, two-and-a-half year steers £s_los, and a line of eight fat cows £'o os, others to £(i. The newly established pig market has evidently found favour with the farmers, and sixty pigs were listed for sale yesterday, and with the exception of one poii all sold at the rates ruling last sale day.
