Wellington, February 0. The potato market shows an improvement, especially where quality is good, and. the indications are for a rise in price shortly. , Onions, both local and Australian, are meeting fair demand at satisfactory prices. The rise in eggs is well maintained, the price to-day showing an advance of Is (.id per dozen, with short supplies. P-orkers are in plentiful supply, and prices are low, the demand being fairly good. There is not much demand for poultry, grices for which are easy. Oats and wheat are unchanged from last week. Chaff at present is scarce and in good demand, but the supply in a few weeks should be plentiful with prices lower than at present. Bran and pollard is also unchanged, and last week's prices are still ruling. Straw ana hay are hard to quit. Grass seed and 1 manures are being freely sold, mostly on advance orders. All stone fruits are in much better demand, and higher prices than last week are ruling. Raspberries are about finished. Tomatoes are lower, owing to larger quantities arriving. Uooking apples are in fair demand. All root vegetables are meeting good sales and fair prices. Choice cabbage and cauliflower are in demand and fetch good prices. VEGETABLES.
