A Startling Theory
M. Buroquier,. the well-known electrician, has advanced a startling theory. Ho- declares _ there is reason to believe that wireless waves have been responsible for several recent catastropliies, notably the Volturno disaster and the e?q)losion on the battleship LiVjerte. , He explains tliait experiments in a laboratory miolway between Eiffel Tower and Ro chefort- wireless stations show that whenever two places are sending messages simultaneously an inexplicable phenomenon is produced by the intersection of the- waves. Two glass globes filled with an inflammable gas were explode d by a disturbance thus set up. He points out that the Volturno wac in exactly the sain o zone at the time of the disaster and the Liberte when destroyed was between two other wireless stations.
