- FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S BENEFIT. The farmer's newspaper is the local newspaper. He buys it to read the local news, and as there are but four pages in the paper he reads all they contain. That is why an advertisement in The Chronicle always yields quick results. 1t is read and remembered. As a floor packing for linoleum The Chronicle cannot compete with the 16-page papers of the city, but as a medium for advertisements addressed to Levin and Shannon townspeople, and the farmers of Horowhenua County. The Chronicle represents a royal flush and a queen bee.
