Mr J. Kebbell, President of the Horowhenua A. and I*. Association, will attend a meeting of the A. and V. Associations—as a delegate from the Wellington province—to he held at Palnierston North on the loth February, for the purpose of appointing a member of the Hoard of Agriculture, which is to advise the Minister on all questions in connection with agriculture and other rural industries, 'fliis board is to be formed under the Hoard oT Agriculture Act, 1!)!-'{, and is to consist of eight members, lour from each Island. These members will he appointed on the recommendation of societies incorporated' under the A. and l\ Societies Act. Kach Island is divided into four districts, each district being represented by one member. L'he North Island's districts are the Auckland, Taranaki, TTawke's Hay and Wellington provinces, i One association, called for distinguishing purposes the Metropolitan Society in this case the Maiiawatu Societies is selected to take the initiative in each district, and secure the recommendation of I lie appointment, of a representative of all the societies in the province.
