TENNIS.

On Thursday last the Levin Lawn Tennis Club held a Yankee tournament at the local courts. Very keen interest was displayed, and some very good games were witnessed. Play commenced at 9 a.m., and continued all day. Owing to the large number of entries, all the games coifyd not.be got through on Thursday, and the tournament was continued on Saturday afternoon. The ladies' doubles were won by the Misses Remington, combined doubles by Mrs C. TL Wilson arid E. W. J. Smith, and the men's doubles by Hughes and Pringle. Mrs Wilson was declared the winner of the) day, with points, Porteous second with 12|, and Smith third with 12 points.
