(To the Editor.) Sir, —A statement has gained currency in the Manawatu district that Professor Norwood, the American hypnotist and entertainer, at present touring New Zealand, is a pupil of Mr McEwan, the Scottish entertainer, and also that Mr Norwood was associated with Mr McEwan. I wish to contradict these reports, as Mr Norwood has never, at any time, been associated with Mi McEwan, and only met hiin (Mi McEwan) quite recently on his return to New Zealand from the Far East and Australia. Hoping you will find space for the refutation of the above misleading statement. —Yours, etc., WILL "LAWHENCE, Business representative for Pro fessor Norwood. January 23rd, 1914.
