The value of potatoes continues to 1)0 low.: crops in the North Island arc good, and local farmers are digging' to prevent tlie risk of blight Li ood lines of ripened onions .are wanted. ( Eggs arc slightly lower, but in good sale Light porkers are in best enquiry. .Poultry is in .fair 'demand where quality is good., .New chart' is selling freely, and a drop in values may oceurr any time. Oats are slightly weaker. Wheat has declined owing to shipments arriving from Australia. There has been a sharp rise in the price of pollard. Pea and barley meal are offering a I fair rates. Straw will doubtless come back in price. ( rood clover hay is in fair demand. Tomatoes are keeping up in values ihe season being somewhat late. A decline may be looked for shortly. Stone fruits are coming to hand in such quantities that choice lines are only especially sought after. Hasp berries are in good demand. iSew apples arc arriving. Phubarb is very dull of sale. Cabbages are higher to-day. Good cauliflower arc scarce. All root vegetables are in good sale, especially lettuce. Peas and beans are now in much better demand.
