Manakau Notes
+ (By our liesident Pepresentative). Mr Tom Bevan sent away a large consignment of fat lambs on Monday. Mr Bevan has been extremely successful this year in having got away several large lots ol' fine fat lambs The local fiaxmill has been closed for some time now, and there seems no prospect of it reopening. A sight worth seeing by any tanner is a large paddock of linseed on Mr Martin Simcox's farm. This crop, when harvested and tlirashed, ought to bring in a nice little cheque. Many people visited Manakau beach on Anniversary Day. Mr AValter Bird.-has got his motor car in order again, 'and will be taking passengers to Otaki mxl Saturday night.
