— —« THE LOCAL TIME TABLE. Sarching through a railway timetable makes most people i able. , The railway table, like the j polony, contains many good o things, but the public prefer to have the one particular food (whether mental or . alimentary) desired on a given occasion, not a liotch potch ox figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at "YVaggonville, or the cross lino to Nevermarch. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between Paekakariki and Palmerston North are what readers of The Horowhenua Chronicle need most, and for our readers' convenience those are now appended:—
As previously mentiuned, there are several wayside stations at j which one or more of the above [.trains will stop whenever passen- • gers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from 'the aborts figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the 1 sta- ; tion immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches . Palmerston from the North, at 12.40 p.m., and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland . express leaveß Thorndon at 12.15 , p.m. and reaches Palmerston a!t 3.35 p.m. The extra Auckland express commenced Ist October. A few arops of "NaZOL" on a piece of sugar soothes and relieves a sore throat wonderfully. Easy to take t pleasant to taste and most efficacious in effect.—Advt. PAINS m THE STOMACH. "I can thoroughly recommend Chamberlain's Colic" and Diarrhoea Remedy," says Mr Thomas Kelly, Storekeeper, Berrigan, iY.S.W. "I have been subject to severe pains in the stomach and at times would have to lay up. I was recommended to try Chamberlain's Colic and Diarrhoea Remedy and found one dose to give me relief." For sale everywhere.— Advt.
