The Waikato district has tliis year been responsible for the increased quantity. Unions are coming in from Australia and also from Auckland, and present values are bound to decline rapidly. Eggs are in good supply, and price is steady. Pork is in steady demand, with special enquiries for slips, suckers, and light porkers. ■L'miltry is easier in demand since riie holidays. New chaff is now ou the market, but old lines are still enquired for. Crops promise well in most districts, and value this year for chaif is likely 'to be somewhat lower. Oats are unchanged. Wheat is firni, and no appreciable lowering of values is anticipated with the advent of the now crop. Maize is selling , at a reasonable ratq. The strawberry season is now drawing to a close. During the past six weeks we have handled no less that 5500 crates, total net weight 40 tons. Large shipments of stone' fruit arc arriving with low values ruling. Black currants and raspberries are in excellent sale. Tomatoes will rapidly decline in price as supply increases, llhubarb is in poor demand. Peas, beans and cabbages are plentiful with poor prices; carrots and parsnips are in fair demand. Potatoes.--£3 10s to £4 per ton. Cabbage.—Choice Is 0d Ho 2s per sack.
