The pro- - 1 gramme committee suggested the following programme for the en- < vsuing quarter: February 2rd, installation; February 9th, Why I became a Good Templar; Febru- ' ary -16th, open night; February "23rd, Evening with Gougli, Bro. 1 Exall; March 2nd., reasons again•st modei-ate drinking; March 9th, sing, recite or pay 3d;. March 18th ! " open night; March 23rd, post , bag; March 30th, sacred evening; April 6th, initiation drill ;• April > 13th, Sisters' surprise; April 20tli open night; April 27th, nomination and election of officers ; May 4th, installation; May 11th, Brothers' surprise; May 18th, journal ; May. 25th, open night. 1 lie report was adopted. A guessirig t • competition took place. A num- * ber of portions of advertisements cut out from The Horowhenua , Chronicle were exhibited and the , members were invited to guess what was the advertisement refer- " red to. The first prize was won by Bro. Broadbelt, and the second by Bro. Petterson.
