« EVENTS li\ T SHANNON. (Chronicled by our Resident Representative). Tho bowlers bad a day at Levin on "Wednesday, but the tennis pJayers mustered in force and many friendly games were played. The weather was more'kindly (ban it often is, and a very pleasant, afternoon was passed. The young , ladies of the ehib provided afternoon tea. Tbc warm days nave arrived in Shannon and Fargher and Co., the drapers, are ready with a fine stock of' panamas, bowling hats, harvest hats, tennis shirts, bowling, shoes, bathing suits, children's trimmed hats, overalls, ladies' dainty millinery, one-piece dresses, stockings, summer shoes, embroideries, laces, neckwear, etc.—Advt.
