As previously ment Wed, there are several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will'stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, irom the above figures, the time which the trait will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston from the North, at .12.40 p.m., and, arrives.at " don at 4.7 p.m. • The Auckland expres's leaves Thorndon at 12.15 i ' p.m. and reaches Palmerston at 3.36 p.m. The extra Auckland ,/ express commenced Ist October.
