In-readiness for the jam-mak-ing season, housewives are making ready* their preserve bottles, etc. Labels soon Avill be needed also. When they are neatly done they improve the appearance of the preserves. Fifty gummed labels, well printed with the names of each fruit, may be obtained at The Chronicle office for sixpence. If desired, the labels may be had in assorted lots, or all of one kind. —
