New Year's Day promises .to be a day of cricket in Levin, and it is to be hoped that the present weather will continue. Starting at 9 a.m., a team from the Experimental Farm will play the Leviu Cricket Club. The names of the latter team will appear later. At 1 p.m. the Druids wilfplay a combined team picked from the other Friendly Societies in Levin. The Druids team will be selected from the following—Longbottom, Hall, Jtuld, Eccleton, Field, Gardener, Chaplin, C. Thompson, Navlor, Horn, I. Hook, G. Jones, J. Young, N. Barratt, W. Palmer and M. Suhan. - Victoria made 140 in their first innings against South Australia. The latter have made 128 for 5 wickets in their second innings.
