Levin Stock Sales.
The line weather which lately nas attended the sales was absent yesterday, and heavy drenching showers made things very unplcsasant for ev-eryonc. In the circumstances it was surprising that the sale turner out so well. There was a good yarding of stock and anything fit for the butcher sold at high rates; for instance, fat cows brought up to .t' ( J. The beasts were certainly good, but the price is something extra. Sheep sold well at late rates. At the pig market, poultry, now potatoes, and rhubarb were offered, but with such wretched weather buyers were more concerned with keeping out of the wet than bidding, and the sales were slow. Usual demand prevailed for pigs.
