For Railway Passengers Guidance.
— —fyTHE LOCAL TIME TABLE. Sarching through ,a railway timetable makes moat people irritable. The railway table, like the polony, contains many good things, but the public prefer to have the one particular food (whether mental or alimentary) desired on a given occasion, not a botch potch figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at Waggonville, or the cross line to Nevcrmarch. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between l J a«kakariki and Palmerston North are what readers of The Horowhenua Chronicle need most, and for our readers' convenience those fte-r.i? are now appended:—
Some of tlie above trains will stop at intermediate stations, such as Tokomaru, Oliau, Manakau, Te Horo, etc.; but there ,re pome which do not. Hesidents sliould ucquaint themselves with the trains which do stop at their particular stations.
As previously mentioned, there are_ several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from the figures, the time which'the train will take to trayel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston from the North, at 12.40 p.m., and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thorndon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palmerston at 8.35 p.m. The extra Auckland express commenced Ist October. A few arops of "NaZOL" on a piece of sugar soothes and relieves a sore throat wonderfully. Easy to take, pleasant to taste and most efficacious in effect.—Advt. PAINS IN THE STOMACH. "I can thoroughly recommend Chamberlain's Colic" and Diarrhoea Remedy," says Mr Thomas Kelly, Storekeeper, Berrigan, N.S.W. "I have been subject to severe pains in the stomach and at times would have to lay up. I was recommended to try Chamberlain's Colic and Diarrhoea Remedy and found one dose to give me relief." For sale everywhere.— Advt.
