The conference of Public Servants of the Commonwealth of Australia and the Dominion of New Zealand has concluded. It was decided to form a Grand Council Associafion, to deal with matters of common interest. Resolutions were carried in favour of a forty-eight hour week, advertising all vacancies of positions, and giving officers against whom adverse reports have been made 1 a fuller opportunity for rebuttal. ft was decided that Commonwealth and New Zealand rules for sick pay be adopted. Other resolutions dealt with questions of annual and long leave, working hours and overtime, with a view to securing uniformity. Mr I. J. "Russell represented New Zealand. A LAUGH ESTATE. Mr -T. C.
