Hopes were enter tinned that the .Premier of New Zealand would be able to come to Levin at the end of January and open the Horowhcmia A. ami P. Association's Show. In response to (lie association's invitation, the Premier lias sent the following letter to .Mr (lardener, secretary to the Association:---" Will you kindly convey to your committee my thanks for their invitation to formally open the annual show of ihe ilorowlieniia A. and P. Association at Levin on the 28th January!" , While .1 would be. very glad to visit your town for this purpose, 1 am afraid that on account of prospective appointments for the coming year it will not be possible for me to do so. As soon, however, as my itinerary for January is complete 1 will let you know definitely whether a visit (o Levin can be arranged. Yours faithfully, "W. F. Massev."
