[i'Elt I'ltiiSS ASSOCrA-TION.] SADDEN DEATH. Waipawa, This Day. \V. Jl. Fowles, a settler at Waiistead, aged 40, was thrown from a dray on Saturday. The wheel passed over his head. Death was instantaneous. THE JAP'S WAY OUT. Auckland, This Day. liagashebara, the boatswain of the Japanese collier Kwantu Maru, who was alleged to have murdered a seaman ot that vessel, on the voyage from Newcastle, was found hanged in the cell in which he was confined aboard the ship. He evidently committed suicide.
