[i'ER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER BOROUGH LOAN. Napier, This Day. The ratepayers yesterday authorised a loan of £Ib',UUU for various works in the borough, including additional tram cars. SUICIDE. Blenheim, This Day. Duncan McCallum, about o5 years of age, a grain and produce merchant at Blenheim, was found dead at his home at Spring-lands yesterday evening under circumstances which point to suicide. A shot gun was found with a strap tied to the trigger, and fastened'to a stone. Evidently the deceased placd the muzzle of the gun in his mouth and drew it towards him, thus discharging the weapon. His hand was badly shattered. Deceased's wife and child were on a visit to Nelson at the time of the tragedy.
