The Mayor and Councillors of Levin invite the public to attend the official opening of the public gardens, Cambridge-street, on Saturday afternoon. Alterations to dates of camps and courses fixed for the Territoiv i-.ii Forces are set out as under in the latest District Orders issued by Colonel E. W. C. Chaytor, commanding Wellington Military District:—The musketry course at New Plymouth will now be held from December Bth to December 12th, 1913. The infantry Ist camp from November 24th to December 3rd, 191-J, has been abandoned. The dates for the camps of instruction (c) senior cadets—officers and non-commis-sioned officers, have now been fixed for from January 14th to January 24th, 1914. The course for field officers pet down for from November 6th to November Bth, 191.1), will now be held from December sth to December 7th, 1913 inclusive). At the Otaki police court on Tuesday last, Patrick Kelly, Thomas Barry and Thomas H'us-. ton appeared on charges of using obscene language. They had been arrested the night before by Constable Satherley, who stated that their language was the worst he had heard. They were strangers to the town. The Bench sentenced the accused to three months' imprisonment, with hard labour. On Wednesday afternoon, at Levin, the marriage took place of Mr Ranald Aloysius Mac Donald, of Heatherlea, and Mjss Flora Mac Donald, daughter of the late Mr Hector McDonald, of Hokio. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Father Henri, in the Leviu Church. The best man was Mr J. Mac Donald, brother of I , he bridegroom, and the bridesmain was Miss Hinemoa McDonald, sister of the bride. The bride was attired in a charming gown of white and carried the orthodox wreath of orange blossoms, the bridesmaid also being in white relieved with a hat contrasted colour. The wedding breakfast was served at Mrs McDonald's, Hokio, and subsequently the happy couple left for the south on a honeymoon trip.
