♦ THE N.Z. FAltMEltS' CO-OP-EIIATIVE DISTIUBUTNG CO., LTD. WEEKLY HEPGIiT. Wellington, Nov. 14. The New Zealand farmers' Cooperative Distributing' Coinpany Ltd., reports as follows on the local markets :■-— Trade during Ike week, lias, of course, been disorganised on account of the strike, even to the extent of an organised boycott of improved fruits. This, however, did not last many hours, and I all trace of any such movement has disappeared. i'rade is rapj idly resuming its normal condition and promises to be exceedingly brisk from now on. Old potatoes are now in poor demand, in view of the uoj;mal price at which new lines are selling, the supply of the latter being practically equal to the domanU. Eggs are in full supply, prices being uninfluenced by the present condition of transport facilities. Pork is in excellent demand with short supply. lair stocks of honey are still held, and there has been no increase in values. Trade with Nelson is now resuming, and large shipments of peas and fruit may be expected daily. We have still a limited stock of flour available, which we arc placing at the dis-
posal of our regular customers in limited quantities. We hope to obtain delivery of our new season's rape seed within a few days, and advance orders will be executed with all expedition. American apples arc selling freely, and it is anticipated that there will be a shortage before next shipment arrives. Strawberries are arriving in large quantities from Auckland, and are in excellent demand. .Rhubarb is also in good demand. Cauliflowers are scarce and realising excellent prices. Cabbage is in over supply. Lettuce in good demand. All root vegetables are ill ready sale. Supplies of all grains and meals are exceedingly scarce, but it is anticipated that this condition of affairs will not last for more than a week. Chaff is in fair demand, but values arc not abnormal.
