EVENTS IN SHANNON. (Chronicled by our Kesident llepresentative). The Wood Templar lodge held their usual meeting oil Monday evening, the C.T. Kev. J. Crawford presiding, nml there was a good attendance of members. After the ordinary business had been transacted the members devoted themselves to an evening with the poets. Bro. Exall read "Hands All Round'' from Tennyson's works. Sister Wiekcliit'e read "The Children's Hospital,'' another of Tennyson's poems. The Kev. -T. A. gave a selection from Elizabeth Barrett browning's well-known ballad "Tiie Cry of Hie Children." Bro. Gibson contributed Longfellow's "I'sdm of Life," that stirring porn, of which one never tires.
