If was an ideal day for cricket, but owing to some misunderstanding the coming of the visitors was not known until their arrival. Consequently, what should have been an interesting competition game resolved ;k;el'f into a scratch match, in which Levin did all the scratching, firs I, in getting some sort of a team together, and afterwards in compiling a total'of 28 runs agai'i«v the 68 made by the visitors.
