Mr Aim, the manager of the Shannon J)airy .Factory, met with a nasty accident last Thursday. lie was assist in" , to lift a heavy piece of machinery required for I lie' refrigerating apparatus, when (he huge mass ol! iron shipped and pressed heavily on Mr Aim's leg. inflicting , a severe injury, the leg being , badly crushed and the ankle joint injured bv the pressure. It will be smile tune before he regains the use of the injured limb.
Several Shannon residents are on the,sick list. Mr Tulley is in the Wellington Jlospitul, awaiting , an operation; Master I'eg'g'ie Merwood is in the Otaki Hospital, suffering' from diseased bone in one of his leg's; Mrs Martin, the wife of our post-master, is an inmate of the same institution, suffering , from U'oitrc, and will have to undergo an operation. Mrs ouuiiing , is back from Hotorua, looking , very much the better for her trip.
