[I'ER. VHESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Nov. 19. With the rot urn of nne weather there was marked increased activity along the water front. The Harbour Boam will resume work on -the wool for shipment. The now union now totals !)iS- r >, of which SO are from the old union. So many men have offered that io-day (here was not enough work to employ them all, over 100 waiting about for oilier ships in illo stream to bortK. The General Labourers' Union ballot on the question of striking , was completed to-day. The voting was 'I to 1 against striking;. The Typographical I'nion voted i'loo to the wives and children of the strikers. The voting was 21 fi to 67. The strike at Auckland has settled down into a grim struggle as lo who can last the longest. A new union has been started at Lyttelton, and work lias recommenced. The Moeraki is being worked at Dunedin.
