Shags' feet are to be the source of extra revenue for Levin lads who procure them. A communication received from the Wellington Acclimatisation Society by Mr W. Hughes, secretary of the Levin Branch, intimates that Is 6d per pair will be paid for shags' feet, provided the sellers can give reasonable proof that the birds were shot in or near inland waters. Previously the price per pair has been Is. The Chronicle hears that there is a camping place of shags on the Levin side of Buller's Lake (Papaitonga).
