Second Edition TELEGRAMS

[per press association.! FIRE aT MARTON. Marton, This Day. A homestead, built by MiMaunder forty years ago, and one of the oldest in Rangitikei, was destroyed by fire between 4 and 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The building—a two-storied one of 13 rooms—waa situated two _ miles from town, and was occupied by Mr W. Howe. The fire was probably caused by a defective chimney. The insurance on the building is £500 in the National Company's Office. The amount on the furniture is unknown.
