Yesterday several hundred sacks came rather unexpectedly 011 to the market, and prices dei.lined accordingly. A shipment per "Arahura" was delayed in unloading tor some hours, owing to the wharf strike, and shippers by the boat suil'ered considerably in prices realised for their late arrivals. The drop as against earlier sales that day was from Ud to 7d per peck. Cabbage is at bedrock. Cauliflower is easier Lettuce is,low and plentiful. There is u fair demand for other vegetables.
