A NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING CO., LTD. WEEKLY REPORT.' ! - j Wellington, October I.(J. The (h'Jiiand for old table potatoes is keeping up well, notwithstanding new lines from have been selling during (he week at a very low iigure for this time of the year. 'We are inclined to expect a sharp drop in value of old potatoes and recommend early marketing. The demand for seed lines is now very poor. We expect the consignments of pork will increase rapidly in future, and caii recommend regular and large shipments. Eggs are hi short supply ami the market is firm. Wheat is lirm and likely to rise. A good demand has sot in for seed maize for green feeding and supplies are diflicult to obtain. FRUIT.--We have during the week landed a large shipment oi American Jonathan apples, and have still available about 100 cases for sale. VEGETABLES. -Cabbage is low, but cauliflower meet good demand. Lettuce is in better sale. Swedes arc dull of sale. Fresh samples of carrots, parsnips and turnips are in good denutml. Shipments of Nelson green peas c.i.jitinue to arrive and fetch high values.
