Mess I'm Dalgety and Co., Ltd. report having held a very successlnl clearing' sale on account of Mr •I. S. Adams at tlie liome,stead, I'ara pa ran in u, oil Wednesday. ilu t \ers attended in large numbers and competition tor most of the lines offered was keen, especially sheep, and every lot offered was disposed of under the hammer at a satisfactory figure. The. arrangements for displaying and selling the stuvk reflected credit on the vendor, who had gone (o considerable trouble in this matter Sheep were especially keenly competed for, as also were all young cattle. The dairy cows and heifers were rather backward in condition and considering this very good values were obtained lor such slock.
Prices realised were as under — Kwes willi lambs 17s j>d to 18s • id, ewe hoggets ios Id, wether hoggets l-ls "lid, fat ewes 18s lid, to 20s, B. F. hoggets (medium) 12s 9d, small 7s Id, mixed sex hoggets (small) 9s 7d, cull raintf 19s to 2 ; >s. 2-year dairy heifers £'•'1 His, 2-year Jersey heifers .£4 7s fid, 2-year steers £4 Us. springing heifers £'4 Is Od to -£0 7s (kl, 2-year bulls £•'> Is to £4, yearling steers (inferior) : >os: yearling heifers £2 0s Cxi to £2 13s, calves 10s. 45 dairy cows and heifers in backward condition brought from £2 17s Od to £6. "store cows £2 to £•'■» ss: spring cart mare £25, £28. pony, £5 ss. .1 very good upstanding hack (4 years) made, £25, 1 harness horse £18. A numerous catalogue of sundries was offered and all sold at very satisfactory rates.
